First up is the update from First Choice and booking exactly the same hotel and flights through them as the one’s I’m looking at on Expedia.co.uk would cost me £800 more – which is pointless since I can use that for booking hotels/guest houses in city’s I’m visiting when I can’t get back to my base hotel after taking a trip. So its looking more likely that I’ll be booking with Expedia next month.
Purchase – although I didn’t go into Jacobs specifically to get anything for this trip (I actually went in to get ink for my printer which they didn’t have) they had a really good offer on the Manfrotto 790B monopod and the 234 tilt head which came to a cost of £24 for both. The 790B is the shortest collapsed monopod available on the market as such sits nicely inside my camera bag and the tilt head allows me to shoot both portrait and landscape while having the stability of a monopod. Basically because I wanted something I could take with me and that was a good offer I got it.
